Our Project

In the heart of Slovakia's breathtaking landscapes, a transformative journey unfolded as participants from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Romania, and Hungary gathered for an Erasmus+ project focused on Safety and Emergency training via Ferrata. This adventure was not just a climb through mountainous terrains; it was a climb towards enhanced safety consciousness and emergency preparedness. The event was organized by Four Links.

The foundation of safety begins with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies. The initial days were dedicated to comprehensive First Aid Training. Participants delved into life-saving techniques, from basic wound care to CPR, gaining practical skills that could make a significant difference in critical situations. Nonetheless, participants engaged in hands-on sessions, mastering ascending and descending on a cable rope using a Prusik loop. This skill not only enhances personal safety but also instills confidence in handling emergencies independently.

On the following days, participants delved into emergency self-rappelling on a rope, acquiring the ability to navigate descents with precision and control for a safe exit in challenging circumstances.

The last day prioritized collaboration and teamwork, as participants engaged in emergency partner rescuing and lowering exercises with ropes. This training emphasized effective communication β€” vital components ensuring the safety of both the rescuer and the rescued. The hands-on experiences gained infuse our group with resilience and preparedness, creating a positive and well-equipped team eager to embrace the thrill of uncertainties in outdoor adventures.
