In the heart of the picturesque Czech Republic, on the crisp morning of January 10, 2023, a group of ten adventure enthusiasts gathered at the foot of the Via Ferrata Vir for an exhilarating experience. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as the group quickly introduced themselves, setting the stage for a day filled with adrenaline. The event was arranged by Four Links.

We began our day with Gabor Varga's safety training, where we learned about basic Ferrata guidelines and practiced essential knots like Prusik and Fisherman's. This session lasted approximately 1.5 hours, following which we paused for lunch. After lunch, we tried out the Ferrata under the guidance. Gabor provided useful instructions and tips on how to use the safety equipment, such as how to tie the knots, how to attach the harnesses, and how to properly attach the cables and ladders. He also gave us a brief overview of the Ferrata and its history, as well as a few tips on how to use safety equipment to make the experience more enjoyable and safer. The difficulty of this Ferrata is B-C, so we all completed the route without any big issues and some of the participants went for a second round. The contagious joy and satisfaction were tangible, evident in the beaming smiles and camaraderie shared.
